A Cabo Wabo Night was an enjoyable night for the 2,000+ who packed into the Murat Theatre. It's been almost 12 years since I witnessed the I can't Drive 55 tour, and I patiently waited for him to return (solo). It was well worth the wait! Since loosing his previous backup band of stiffs (VH) Sammy "Roy" Hagar was in great form as he talked with the crowd and played his music past and present, right up to the tunes on his current disc "Marching to Mars". In mid show while giving his band a chance to catch their breath he kept the crowd entertained by teaching us all the recipie for a Cabo Rita, which he shared with a luck few in the crowd. He played all the favorites Red Motor Scooter, Right Now, Finish What You Started, and my favorite Heavy Metal.
My only complaint with the show was the sound seemed overpowering in this small venue, but still this show rocked. This is a definite must see show, Mr. Hagar PLEASE stop back by again soon!
